BSc (Chemistry) Degree

The Department of Chemistry offers one qualification with seven variants that are listed below. The qualification includes a selection of Computer Application modules and electives from a second department. Further details are available from the Department.

Rules regarding entry, Sequences and Prerequisites for the BSC (Chemistry) qualifications


1. The entrance rules to these qualifications are the same as the entrance rules for the Faculty of Science and Agriculture.

2. Apart from the modules offered by the Department of Chemistry, the BSc (Chemistry) qualification includes several modules that are offered by other Departments. Such Departments have rules governing their own modules and these rules are still applicable when the modules are taken as a part of the BSc (Chemistry) qualification.

3. Nine of the core modules in the first year must be successfully completed before registering for any module in the second year grid.

4. All modules in the First Year Grid must be successfully completed before registering for any modules in the Third Year Grid.
